Keren's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped us purchase the drip irrigation and strawberry plants for our u-pick strawberry farm.
Corey and I created Freckle Farm during the 2020 pandemic as a way to create more food stability in a time of scarcity and to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming farmers. Corey is a 4th generation farmer and I use my Social Work education to involve their brood of 5 children and but has since grown into a dream of becoming a u-pick strawberry farm for the local community. Dedicated to the local community together by growing and providing quality products while keeping its roots steeped in integrity, maintaining a strong work ethic, and never forgetting our family values. We the owners, Corey and Keren, operate our farm on the 23 acres surrounding our family home in Maine. Corey has a strong farming background as a 4th generation farmer and has intimate knowledge of the farmland and the resources required for such an endeavor. I utilize my education in creating business plans, coordinating services with companies and vendors, completing cost analyses for the farm’s projects, operating machinery, and scheming ways to include their brood of 5 children into the daily life of living on a farm.
