Virginia's story

My name is Virginia. I am a Dominican entrepreneur, resident of Puerto Rico. I was born in the community of Yaiba la Bomba in San Francisco de Macoris in the Dominican Republic and I later moved to Santiago de Caballeros in pursuit of my childhood dream of becoming a math teacher. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and later went on to study Business Administration. My goal was to change the lives of my family members as I am the oldest of 7 sisters. I obtained my degree in Business Administration and married my husband, Roberto. We had two children, Abigail, and Robert Abel. I was able to raise and educate them thanks to my education and because I worked for myself. In 2005 my husband regrettably passed away. In 2015, I started an International Business Administration Master’s Program that gave me the opportunity of coming to Puerto Rico to conduct market studies on introducing my products into the local market. In 2018 I moved to Puerto Rico and worked in a girl’s home for some time, but always kept my business ventures in mind. This is when I met my business mentor who helped me awaken the entrepreneur that has always been within me.
