Ubumwe Cb Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more cabbages, oranges, mangos, carrots and cucumbers.

Ubumwe Cb Group's story

Marie Yvette is a 33-year-old mother of two children who are 2 and 5 years old. Her husband is a taxi driver, and for the past 4 years she has been selling fruits and vegetables.

She is the leader of the group called Ubumwe CB, which means “UNITY" in English. Group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

She will use her loan to buy more cabbages, oranges, mangos, carrots and cucumbers to sell within her community, in order to meet customer demand. With the profits from her sales, she hopes to be able to provide school fees for her children and also to furnish her house.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to get a photograph of all group members, but was able to photograph one representative.
