Robina's story

Robina is a resident of Concepcion, Iloilo, in the Philippines. She is 44 years old with three dependents. To earn an income, she runs a hog-raising business. She has been in this business for many years. Meanwhile, her husband works as a construction worker.

Robina has requested PHP 15,000 through Kiva’s field partner CEVI, a microfinance NGO in the Philippines, which she will use to buy feed and vitamins. The rest of the loan will be used to buy food ingredients. More specifically, Robina also has a food-selling business for additional income.

In the future, Robina wants to improve this business for her children’s education. Thus, she wants them to finish their studies.
