Chanphen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy pig feed and piglets to raise and sell.

Chanphen's story

Chanphen lives with her children in a Kuy community of Surin province in northeast Thailand. Her family makes a living by planting jasmine rice and raising pigs. Chanphen has experienced raising pigs for three years, and the occupation is capable of generating income sufficient for spending in her family.

During this period, she has looked for a chance to develop the occupation, so she applied for the Kiva loan to buy pig feed and piglets to raise and sell. She also plans to spend some amounts of the loan to fix the pigpen.

The loan is very important for her occupation because it will encourage Chanphen to afford good quality piglets, as well as support the local woman to generate more income.
