A loan helped to pay for construction to renovate his old house.

Phearith's story

Phearith, age 32, is married and has children. He lives with his family in the area of Angkor Borei district, Takeo province. Phearith and his spouse help each other in the agriculture business, owning and managing a few hectares of farmland, growing and harvesting rice crops and produce seasonally. With his best effort, he can earn approximately USD $5 per day to pay for daily meals, clothes, medicine and for his children's education fees. He also works as electrician officer to earn additional income.

Because of the shortage of finances, Phearith has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 8,000,000 to pay for construction to renovate his old house. With this loan, he will have money to purchase construction supplies, such as bricks, zinc and cement, and pay for laborers. This renovation is very important for Phearith's family members to protect themselves and live with a comfortable living standard and in a good environment. It also can protect his family members from the crisis of climate change, such as rain. He sends thanks to all lenders who have contributed their funds to help a poor fellow like him.
