Puttha's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy buffalo breeds for raising and selling.

Puttha's story

Puttha lives with her daughter in a Kuy community of Surin province, one of the lowest income per capita of Northeast Thailand. She basically makes a living by growing jasmine rice and raising buffaloes.

Puttha really needs to increase her income to cover spending in her family, so she applied for a Kiva loan to buy more buffalo breeds for raising and selling. The loan is very important for her life because it will support her by generating more income from selling the buffaloes. Puttha has been raising buffaloes for more than 8 years, and she is really passionate about developing this occupation.

In the future, she plans to continue this occupation and expand the size of her buffalo farm accordingly.
