A loan helped to buy mulberry and tapa paper for her tapa-making business.

Manu's story

Manu is a 53-year-old mother of three children and the wife of a farmer. She and her family live in their own home where she provides for them through her tapa-making business.

She is a member of a group of women in their church where they make tapas together, but this only occurs once every week. They spend the rest of the week preparing their soft tapas. Manu sells her tapas to local and overseas customers. She has been in this business for more than 10 years and her family benefits from it. Her business helps her husband in providing for their daily living.

She hopes to use her loan money to buy enough mulberry for her tapa-making business.

Manu dreams of a good life for her family. It will only come true through educating her children to have a better life in the future than it is today. Her business will continue on operating to provide financial support for her children's education.
