Miatta's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more biscuits, candy, milk, bread, and dry fish to sell.

Miatta's story

Meet 45-year-old Miatta, from Liberia. She is living with her partner, along with 2 kids who are schooling and live at home.

Miatta is a hard-working business woman who sells biscuits, candy, milk, bread, and dry fish. She learned how to sell from her mother, and her husband gave her some funds to start the business. She uses a motor bike to transport supplies to her business site. Miatta sells Monday through Saturday, 6 hours a day.

She is proud of her business because it gives her profits. To continue selling, Miatta requested a loan through BRAC Liberia, a KIVA Field Partner, to buy more biscuits, candy, milk, bread, and dry fish to sell in order to meet her customers' demands.

In the future, Miatta wants to build houses. She is highly grateful for the financial support that BRAC and KIVA have rendered.
