Fapiola's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy mulberry for her tapa making business and also help with expanding her house.

Fapiola's story

Fapiola is a 42-year-old mother who runs a tapa making business in order to earn an income for her seven children. All her children attend school, and her husband's wages cannot cover their expenses. She joins a group of women in the village, and together they make tapas of different sizes and types. Fapiola also manages to prepare soft tapas as shown in her photo and sells them it to make extra earnings. When her tapas are ready, she sells them at the local market to random customers and also to relatives overseas.

Currently they live in a two bedroom house, and they need to expand the house for their children to fit in. She is applying for a loan to buy mulberry for her tapa making business, to help with expanding their house, and to educate her children so they live a better life than today.
