Taina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy pandanus for her weaving and also hire women to help with her weaving.

Taina's story

Taina is a weaver who weaves taovala, mats and fihu, then sells them to earn money for her family. She is a 39-year-old mother to her six children, and her husband works as a farmer. Her weaving is her family's primary source of income, and Taina give it her all knowing that her family's financial needs depend on her.

Her time is mostly occupied by weaving. She is a sole weaver, and she weaves on her own at home. It took Taina a week to complete one taovala then sell it out to random customers. She has overseas customers but she mainly uses her local customers due to easy access to them.

Taina's business is running very well, but she surely does need help, for sometimes she does not meet the needs of her customers due to her being a sole weaver. Taina applies for a loan hoping to have help to buy pandanus and also hire women to help with her weaving.

Currently they live in a two-bedroom house, and it is her plan with her husband to build a bigger and better house one day for their children to grow up in.
