Mujeres Mbarete Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase meat, tomatoes, peppers, onions and products in bulk, like rice, noodles, yuca etc.

Mujeres Mbarete Group's story

The "Mujeres Mbarete" communal bank is in its sixth lending cycle with the Women's Committee Program. All of the members work and help one another to get ahead. They are striving toward a better quality of life for themselves and for their loved ones. Additionally, they are participating in the Poverty Stoplight Program, working to grow and improve their standards of living.

One of the members is señora Wilma. She earns her living selling lunches. She says that her business is well established, and thanks to that, she also has a well-established clientele. Wilma is very good at what she does, which is why her customers really like everything she prepares. Wilma says that her goal is to keep improving and growing so that she can continue helping to support her household and her family. She is grateful for the opportunity she is receiving to keep her business going and to therefore be able to meet her family's needs.

Wilma is requesting this loan so she can purchase raw materials for making her products. She will purchase meat, tomatoes, peppers, onions and bulk items, like rice, noodles, yuca etc. Being able to make the purchases will be a great help to her.
