Yolanda Del Carmen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase corn, salt, lime, cooking gas, cheese and plastic bags for her tortilla business.

Yolanda Del Carmen's story

It has been some years since Yolanda initiated her business of making and selling tortillas. She began by preparing 10 pounds, but with the passage of time, and with the rise in demand, the volume grew and now she has decided to increase her production to 50 pounds.

In this business she can count on the unconditional help of her family.

With the hope springing from continued growth, Yolanda has sought help with financing from Kiva through a local organization to purchase corn, salt, lime, cheese, cooking gas, and plastic bags.

In the very near future, she hopes to become the proprietor of a general store.
