Umubano Cb Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cement, paint, and iron sheets for the hardware store.

Umubano Cb Group's story

Jeanne is a 31-year-old mother of three children aged between 2 and 5 years. Her husband is a businessman, and for the past nine years she has owned a hardware shop.

She is the leader of the group called Umubano Cb, which means “good relationship” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Jeanne will use her portion of the loan to buy cement, paint, and iron sheets to sell within her community. With the profit from her sales, she will be able to set aside some money to provide school fees to her children.

She is grateful for the support from the lenders.

Note: Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group.
