Abiyegeranyije Cb Group's story

Immaculee is a 51-year-old mother of four children aged between 15 and 24 years. Her husband is a construction worker, and for the past year, she has owned a grocery store.

She is the leader of the group called ABIYEGERANYIJE CB, which means “People who have joined together” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Immaculee will use her portion of the loan to buy Rice, Sugar, Cooking oil and Maize flour to sell in her community. With the profit from her sales, she will be able to set aside some money to provide school fees to her children and also she will be able to furnish her house.

She is grateful for the support from the lenders.

"Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group".
