Kuña Guapa Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a food processor.

Kuña Guapa Group's story

The group was formed thanks to the experience of a group of neighbors. They are heads of household who struggle and work hard together to achieve their common goals.

Lourdes is one of them. She is married and has three adult children who she raised through much sacrifice. She started out selling chipa [cheese-flavored roll] which is a typical Paraguayan afternoon snack food in her community. She made it on an order basis and later started selling sandwiches and little by little she received more orders from more customers.

She says it was not easy but with perseverance she improved the quality of her product daily and sales began growing. Smiling, she says she would like to have an exclusive shop so she can sell with all the comforts. She is applying for a loan to buy a food processor to make chipas. This will help speed up the process.

Note: There is only one person in the photo despite this being a group loan. A group photo was not possible because of social distancing due to Covid-19.
