San Roque Group's story

The San Roque communal bank is from the city of Itá. The members are women heads of household who fight for their families so that they can give them better living conditions and so that they do not suffer hardships of any kind.

One of the members, Yohana, sells fruits and vegetables. She comments that she sells on the street. With her business, Yohana helps her husband and children with the household expenses. She is someone who strives to better herself and have a higher quality of life. Yohana has an established clientele who always purchase from her. She hopes that as a result, her children will not lack anything and that they will be good people in the future.

Yohana is asking for this loan to purchase bananas, apples, oranges, pears, pineapples, tomatoes, onions, green peppers and potatoes, among other items.

Please note: Only one person appears in the photo although this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo because of the need to avoid crowds of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
