Batumike Nyatende Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on two sacks of small fry [fish], which will increase her starting capital.

Batumike Nyatende Group's story

Mrs. Nsimire is a client of the MFI [microfinance institution] Hekima and leads the Batumike Nyatende Group. Mrs. Nsimire is 45 years old, married, and the mother of 12 children, all of whom attend school; her partner is a builder.

Mrs. Nsimire sells small fry [fish] and started her business 15 years ago with startup funds from her husband. She later got involved with Hekima to support her business, which has helped her grow over time. With this new loan, she will stock up on two sacks of small fry, which will strengthen her starting capital. The [greatest] challenge [she faces] in her business is tied to the lack of customers.

Mrs. Nsimire would like her children to continue their studies and would like to renovate her home. In closing, Mrs. Nsimire wants to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to small business owners excluded from the traditional banking system during this time of global crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic. The photo is only of [Mrs. Nsimire as] group leader because of COVID-19 and the group's adherence to social distancing measures.
