Ladiriya Group's story
Nana is the one who is representing the group in the photo, due to COVID-19. In the photo, she is next to one of her rams that she is raising. She is 48 years old, married, and the mother of five children from 4-17 years old. Three are boys and two are girls. Her husband is a farmer and also raises animals. She has raised animals for more than five years. She buys the animals in the nearby markets, feeds them, and resells them in the same markets. She has difficulties such as the problem of feeding and caring for the animals, and lacking a suitably sized herd. She turned to a loan from RMCR to increase the size of her business and alleviated her problems. In her animal raising business and retail, she earns a monthly income of 30,000-55,000 CFA Francs.
