Christine's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming inputs, such as certified seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizer, to boost the quality of her produce, increase her profits and elevate her standard of living.

Christine's story

Christine, 33, is a smallholder farmer. She has been farming for the past few years. Over this time, Christine has gathered much experience and is considered among the best farmers in her village.

Her primary sources of income have been milk and crops. Christine is very passionate about farming and loves cultivating her farm. She is an honest, hardworking, loyal person who is dedicated to her farm because it allows her to support her family's needs.

Although she makes a profit from farming, Christine's standard of living is not comfortable. She has always wanted to increase her income by buying quality seeds and other farm inputs.

Christine is requesting a loan to buy high-quality seeds and other farm inputs. She will use her loan to make these investments and improve her crop farming.

The Eldoret area, one of the country's most populated regions, has a high demand for food. This means that Christine could increase her profits by meeting the existing demand for crop products.

She is grateful that Juhudi Kilimo is partnering with Kiva lenders to help hardworking and honest women farmers like herself turn their farming dreams into reality through training and loan financing.

Christine is a special and zealous person and is grateful for the help and support of Kiva lenders.
