Virgen De Caacupe Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cassava flour, cheese, eggs, shortening, and other ingredients for making cheese bread.

Virgen De Caacupe Group's story

The committee started with 13 members in 2013. Today, the group is much larger. Thanks to the work they have accomplished as a unified group, they have consolidated their friendships throughout the time they have been together. They are also committed to helping one another.

Sra. Valentina is one of the members. She is an enterprising person who makes and sells cheese bread, which is a traditional Paraguayan food. With this business, she has been able to support her five children. Three of her children are grown and help her as much as they can. The other two children are still young.

Valentina is requesting a loan to invest in the purchase of supplies for making cheese bread such as cassava flour, cheese, eggs, shortening, and other ingredients. She is grateful for the opportunity to be part of this group, since it will enable her to invest in her business and continue improving it so that she can help her family.

Note: The photo shows only one person, even though this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo in order to avoid congregating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
