A loan helped to buy inputs for his cereal farming activities.

Dougouyiriwa-Ton Group's story

Dioma is a married man who lives in Mali. He is the one with a hand raised in the photo. He is 53 years old and the father of six children, four boys and two girls, three of whom go to school. He is a farmer whose main focus is growing millet and groundnuts, which is how he supports his family.

He has been doing this work in his village since childhood, and joined the RMCR in 2015. He is taking out loans ahead of the rainy season to stock up on inputs and farm more land. This will help to increase his cereal crops, a substantial portion of which will be stored for resale at local markets in order to repay his loan.

His goal is to become the leading cereal farmer in his village.
