Luis Oscar's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay the expense of inputs and labor for maintaining seven hectares of productive coffee.

Luis Oscar's story

Luis is a 44-year-old coffee grower from the northern region of Nicaragua. He manages a farm that measures 35 hectares, of which seven hectares is designated for planting and harvesting coffee. His farm has Fair Trade certification.

Due to the high costs of hiring coffee pruners and the increasing price of supplies, Luis is requesting a loan. He will use the loan to buy calcium, zinc, boron, and other inputs. Part of the loan will be used to pay his workers. All of these costs will help to improve the nutrition of his coffee plants.

With the support of his family, Luis feels he is capable of maximizing the resources and production on his farm. This will stabilize his family’s situation and enable him to support the community.

This is the second loan he has received from PAC.
