Meet the members of the Lindo communal association in Managua, Nicaragua. They are determined merchants who need financing for working capital. Their businesses are: the sale of cosmetics, used clothing, food stands, maintenance of electronic equipment, and cleaning materials.

Maria de la Cruz (in the middle, seated), 39 years old, is cheerful, dynamic, and hardworking. She is single and has 2 children, ages 11 and 13. She dreams of owning a house and of improving her business.
