Sherlyne's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for retail goods to stock up her retail shop and better provide for her customers.

Sherlyne's story

Sherlyne is a 36-year-old mother of 2, her children are of ages 7 and 4. She has her partner who works in a construction company. She lives with her family in her sister-in-law's house. Sherlyne lives in the countryside, which is located about 10 minutes drive off Port Vila city. Her community is very small, and the main industry is agriculture. Vanuatu people rely a lot on agriculture for food and income, so making a little income off of it has been good.

Sherlyne has asked for a loan to assist her to pay for retail goods which she will send to her home island, Ambae, which is 265 kilometres away from Port Vila city. Her retail shop is located near the local airport there, and she wishes to become a main retail supplier to locals and visitors in her community.

With the earned revenue, Sherlyne will start building her own home on her own piece of land which is located not far from where she is currently residing. Being able to start her business has motivated Sherlyne to grow so she can improve her family's living conditions.
