Mujeres De Fe Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy catalogue products that are on sale.

Mujeres De Fe Group's story

Ingrid, a 42 year old married mother of 5 children (3-24), is determined that her 5 children will have a complete education. Her oldest two have high school degrees in accounting and medicine while the younger ones are still in school.

Her husband drives a passenger van in rural areas in the department/state of Quetzaltenango.

Ten years ago, Ingrid began her business selling catalogue products like clothing, shoes and personal care items. Now, some of these catalogue products are on sale and that is why Ingrid is requesting her 2nd KIVA loan! It’s time for her to stock up!

Every month, Ingrid and 7 of her friends attend meetings of their Friendship Bridge Trust Bank “Mujeres de Fe” or “Women of Faith”. They look forward to the educational trainings, part of the Microcredit Plus program of loans, education and health care services.

Learning about planning, budgeting and savings helps them with their businesses selling Mexican clothing, plastic containers and clothing/shoes from catalogues. They also learn about an aspect of 3 other topics (health, family matters, women’s issues). Every 2 months, they have access to all kinds of services, exams and consults when a visiting nurse comes to their community!

Thank you, KIVA investors, for lending a helping hand to Ingrid and her friends! They are opening doors to a brighter future!
