Flor Del Campo Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase products for her store.

Flor Del Campo Group's story

Thirty-six year old Ana is married and has 3 children between 5 and 18 years of age. Because she has a high school diploma, she values education a great deal. Her children are enrolled in kindergarten and 2nd grade, while the eldest is in the 2nd year of agricultural studies. Her husband is a cook preparing food for 2 government organizations.

Before COVID, Ana was a masseuse who gave massages at home but she had to discontinue this business. She also sold toys at schools, but that too had to be discontinued with COVID restrictions, so she opened a small convenience store to sell the toys and necessary items. With the goal to have a larger and more popular store, she is requesting her 2nd loan to purchase a variety of products for her store.

Ana is a member of the Friendship Bridge Trust Bank "Flor del Campo" located in the Department of Chimaltenango. There are 8 ladies who speak either Maya Kakchiquel or Spanish. They have traditional textile businesses, or sell artisan products, tortillas or raise chickens and pigs. They appreciate being members of the Trust Bank because of the many supportive benefits like monthly educational sessions in business management, family planning, health and women's issues. Bimonthly, they meet with a visiting nurse who provides basic healthcare services. This combination of loans, education and health care is called “Microcredit Plus”.

Thank you, Kiva investors, for providing loans that make their futures brighter and more successful!
