Immaculate's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more scrap items for resale,.

Immaculate's story

Immaculate is 27 and lives in the town of Mattuga in the Kawempe region of Uganda. She is married and has 4 children who are all currently in school. For the past 1 year, Immaculate has been working hard to manage her waste items supplies, which sells scrap wasted items like plastics and iron.

To help expand her business, Immaculate has requested a loan of 200,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more scrap items for resale, and will help Immaculate to generate greater profits and will be able to take good care of her parents and her children as well as providing them with enough food. Immaculate hopes that in the future she will be able to open up another scrap store if all goes well.

Immaculate is a member of BRAC's Microfinance program (MF). The program primarily serves small group members like Immaculate who do not have collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
