Elizabeth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped a single mom to buy farming inputs, which she will use to improve her production, increasing her profits to support her family.

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth is a 44-year-old single mother of two school-going children, living in Nakuru. Nakuru lies 1850 meters above sea level in the highlands of Kenya, in a temperate climate that favors coffee, wheat, barley, maize, beans, and potato farming.

Elizabeth is a mixed dairy and crop farmer, who has been farming for the past many years.

Elizabeth is requesting this loan to buy farming inputs, which she will use to improve her production, increasing her profits to support her family.

Unlike banks and other local money lenders, which operate mainly in urban centers, Juhudi Kilimo (a Kiva Field Partner) has extended its operations to the most remote areas of Kenya, creating opportunities for different people to access loans.

Ignite Elizabeth's hope of a colorful festive season with a loan today.
