A loan helped to buy pandanus for her weaving and also continue paying women to weave for her.

Tupou's story

Tupou weaves together with a group of women in their village. She is also able to pay another group of women to weave for her. This is due to the fact that she receives many customers and they have many demands.

She is a married mother with five children, and they all live together at their own home in the island of Vava'u. She weaves taovala and mats using brown pandanus only. They run their weaving business from Monday to Friday of every week, and it enables them to have a speedy finish. Her business is also benefiting from her other group of weaving women, because with that method, she is able to always meet her customer demand.

She is going to use this loan money to buy pandanus for her weaving and also continue paying women to weave for her. She does all this for the future of her children, for their school fees to be paid and for their future endeavors.
