Santa Veronica's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy shrimp to sell, and seed kits for farming (including certified seeds, urea, fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides).

Santa Veronica's story

Santa Veronica and her family live in the area of San Agustín at kilometer 20 on the way to Bahía de Caráquez. The people who live there work selling shrimp, crawfish and crabs. They grow bananas, corn, and vegetables, among other things. They raise cattle, barnyard birds and pigs.

Santa Veronica and her partner, through hard work, have maintained their sales, although they've decreased considerably. They deliver shrimp by the pound to various areas of the province where they have customers. They also plant year-round, growing peppers, tomatoes, corn, cotton, garlic and watermelon when it is sowing season.

At the beginning of the quarantine they had no work due to a fear of contagion and various restrictions that precluded them from going out to sell. However, they are now selling and following bio security protocols.

This loan is to buy shrimp and seed kits (including certified seeds, urea, fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides).Santa Veronica's dream is to have more land in order to continue farming, and that her family enjoy very good health.
