Ileana Maria's story

Ileana Maria and her family live in Portoviejo, a city affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016 and now with the COVID-19 pandemic. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

At home, Ileana Maria works selling a variety of clothing for women, such as t-shirts, dresses, underwear, lycra items, shorts, shirts, jumpsuits, etc.. These are being sold via WhatsApp, internet, and visiting from house to house. She leaves the clothing on credit and collects weekly. Previously, she sold Avon. She experienced social isolation at the beginning of the pandemic, not working due to the fear of contagion due to various restrictions which prevented her going out to sell. But today she is currently attending to her business with the bio security protocols in place.

This loan is to purchase orders of pajamas, lingerie, t-shirts, shorts, jeans, etc.. Her dream is to have her own store to continue with her sales, and that her family continue to be in good health.
