Nargiza's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy dairy cows in order to increase her sales of milk to a local plant.

Nargiza's story

Nargiza is 35 years of age and married. She has a secondary education and has been raising livestock and growing crops since 2010, as her main contribution to the family income. Thanks to Nargiza's hard work, her farm presently consists of three cows, 15 sheep, and a 2.1-hectare plot of land on which she grows beans.

Nargiza has a contract to deliver organic milk to a local plant, where it is processed into dairy products. This permits her to put money back into her business on an ongoing basis. After learning that she could obtain a loan from Bai Tushum Bank, using as collateral the contract for future deliveries under a Value-Added-Chain arrangement, Nargiza has applied for a loan of 150,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows. Her goal in this is to increase her milk sales. The dairy plant's payments for the milk will be deposited directly into Nargiza's bank account, and the loan payments will be automatically deducted. The income generated by this loan will allow her to develop her farm going forward.
