Patricia's story

Patricia L. is from Ambalatungan, Santiago City. She is 38 years old. Patricia is married and has three school-aged children. To make a living, Patricia owns & operates a business raising pigs to fatten and sell. Patricia has been engaged in her business for over two years and earns approximately 2,000 PHP a month for these activities. In 2010, Patricia joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Patricia is requesting a new loan of 5,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase livestock feed & other supplies. This loan will be the first loan taken out by Patricia from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand her business. About ASKI: ASKI is one of the most successful microfinance institutions in the Philippines. It has 29 branches covering the Central and Northeastern areas.
