Sela's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy mulberries for her tapa making business.

Sela's story

Sela still willingly helps her mother with their tapa-making business. Together they prepare soft tapas and together they join the women in their village to make the tapas. Once in every week, they gather in a hall and make more than one tapa, in different sizes and types. Some tapas are made from pure soft tapas, and some are made from the combining of soft tapas and tapa paper. When their tapas are ready, Sela and her mother decorate their tapas with different designs, then sell them out to earn money for their living. Their tapas usually sell out locally and also to some of their relatives overseas.

Sela still joins the SPBD loan program to earn a loan to purchase mulberry for their tapa-making business. Sela will continue on helping her mother with this sort of business so they can make an earning for their family.
