A loan helped to buy mulberry bark for her tapa (cloth) making business.

'Ana's story

'Ana, aged 38, is married with seven children. She practices tapa (cloth) making to make a living to support her family. 'Ana started her business a few years ago when her husband was suffering from a serious injury and couldn't get back to work.

'Ana was taught by her mother and joined a group of women in their village: once a week they carry out tapa (cloth) making. 'Ana even designs her own tapas cloth before she sells it. Her main helper is her mother.

She also prepares soft tapa cloth and sells it at the local market. When her tapa cloth is ready, she sells it to random customers and also to relatives overseas. This loan helps 'Ana to buy mulberry bark from the market so she can keep operating her business.
