Ubumwe Tcb Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy oranges, watermelons, apples and passion fruit.

Ubumwe Tcb Group's story

Josephine is a 38-year-old mother of four children aged between 8 months and 17 years. Her husband is a businessman, and for the past five years, she has been selling fruit.

She is the leader of the UBUMWE TCB, which means “Unite” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Josephine will use her portion of the loan to buy oranges, watermelons, apples and passion fruit to sell within her community. With the profit from her sales, she will be able to set aside some savings and expand her business.

She is grateful for the support from the lenders.

(Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group.)
