Umucyo Cb Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy medicine and bedsheets for her clinic with her portion of the loan.

Umucyo Cb Group's story

Chantal is a 38-year-old widowed mother of three children between 9 and 18 years old. And for the past eight years, she has owned a medical clinic.

She is the leader of the Umucyo Cb Group, which means “Cultured” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Chantal will use her portion of the loan to buy medicine and bedsheets for her clinic to be able to treat many people in her community. With the profit from her sales, she will be able to set aside some savings and expand her business.

She is grateful for the support from the lenders.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group.
