A loan helped to buy 20 packs of bottled water and 100 packs of spices, and to save money to improve her family’s living conditions.

Minata's story

Minata is a talented woman who is very experienced in her field of selling ice cream. She has 5 children who are all going to school. She is a merchant, and has been making ice cream at her home in a neighborhood in the capital for more than 15 years.

She is on her 11th loan cycle with IMF Yikri. She repaid her 6th Kiva loan without difficulties. She requests another loan to buy 20 packs of bottled water and 100 packs of spices to increase her local production of ice cream and to sell to her customers. She plans to use her earnings to reinvest in her business and to save money to improve her family’s living conditions.

Lastly, she thanks Yikri and their partners for the support given to unbankable entrepreneurs. Thanks to the loans from Yikri, she is able to improve her family’s living conditions. She hopes everyone is protected from the Covid-19 virus.
