Esther's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 32-year-old Esther from Hills Station branch. She is married with three children between the ages of 6 and 8 years old; all of them are attending school. She started this business to care for herself and support her family.

Esther runs a retail business and sells provisions and other assorted items. She has been in this business for two years now. Her other source of income comes from her husband’s business. Her main challenge is slow sales sometimes during this COVID 19 pandemic.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase provisions and other assorted items to increase her business. Esther says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve her business and take care of her family's welfare.

In the future, she would like to establish into a larger scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
