A loan helped to buy more ingredients used to cook the foods she sells.

Edith's story

This is 48-year-old Edith, who lives with her partner and four children. She attended school up to ninth grade.

Edith runs a business selling cooked foods. Her love for her business continues to grow every day. She enjoys interacting with her customers because it enables her to grow her customer base.

Edith asked for a loan with BRAC Liberia, one of Kiva’s field partners, to buy more ingredients used to cook the foods she sells. She wants to enlarge her business so as to be sure she can meet her customers' demands. Through her profits, she will be able to pay back the loan and improve her family’s standard of living.

Like any loving parent, Edith’s dream is to continue sending her children to school and build a house. She says thanks for your support.
