Flor De Mayo 2 Group's story
Doña Santos is 45 years old and is a married homemaker with 6 children. She is a weaver (Making Sheets and Tablecloths), she has two operators and looms, with 12 years of experience. She is receiving a loan through the Communal Bank called FLOR D. MAYO 2 ("Flower of May 2") which is maD. up of sixteen women, who she coordinates. The loan received will be invested as working capital buying raw materials, to increase the production volume and cover the demand of the customers. She dreams of seeing her business grow much bigger and generate greater profits. Likewise the members of this group hope that with the investment that they make putting capital into their businesses, it will mean that they have better profits and better living conditions.
