A loan helped to buy dairy cows in order to increase the volume of milk sales.

Damira's story

The name of this wonderful woman is Damira. She is 47 years old, married and has six children. She has high school education. She is an empathetic and kind woman by nature.

As a main income for her family, Damira has been engaged in animal husbandry and crop farming since 2005. Thanks to her hard work and her spouse's help with the farm, currently there are two cows, 15 sheep and a horse on her farm. She also owns a 2.4-ha plot of land where she grows organic plums and beans.

Damira has a contract with the local dairy processing plant to supply organic milk. This allows her to continuously invest in her farming business. Having learnt that she can get a loan from Bai-Tushum bank using her milk supply contract as a collateral under the value-added chain scheme, Damira applied for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows in order to increase the volume of milk she sells. The payments for milk from the plant will be transferred directly to Damira's bank account and the loan repayments will be automatically deducted. The profits from the loan will help Damira develop her business further and save for a construction of a new house.
