Fololina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy mulberry and pay for her daughter's tuition fees at the university.

Fololina's story

Meet Fololina. She is a 55-year-old mother to her five grown up children. Her husband is a farmer and they live at their own home on the Eastern side of Tongatapu. Two of their grown ups have moved out so they are only left with the three youngest.

Currently she runs a tapa making business and she joins a group of tapa women in their church. Together they perform tapa making every Friday.

Fololina has been in this business for many years, and her business is one of their main sources of income. She designs her tapas then sell it at the local market as well as overseas, to make a living for her family.

One of her daughters is in university and Fololina's business pays for her tuition fees.

She applied for a loan to buy mulberry for her business and also to pay for her daughter's tuition fees. She wanted her remaining three children to finish their education and have a career in the future where they will not have to live a struggling life like the one she lives for them.
