'Emalata's story

Greetings from 'Emalata. She is 62 years old, and a widow who resides with her youngest daughter at their own home, while her eight other children have had their own families and live at their own homes.

'Emalata has been a widow for 30 years now, and yet she still completes her responsibilities for her family. Not only does her family benefit from her work, but she also encourages other women to join in and together they make tapas at 'Emalata's place.

Every Saturday, the women and 'Emalata spend their day making lots and lots of tapas, then divide it among themselves for their own needs.

'Emalata still able to design and decorate her tapas with her daughter's help. When it is ready for sale, her daughter posts it on social media for sale.

Her house veranda was damaged by a tree that fell on it. 'Emalata decided to apply for a loan to buy mulberry for her tapa making and also to repair the veranda so the business will continue running. Help 'Emalata with her business by lending her your money.
