Sarah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as fertilizer and high-quality seeds that she will use to improve her production and make more income for her family.

Sarah's story

Hello, Kiva community! Meet Sarah, a 45-year-old mother who is a great achiever. She is a rural smallholder farmer from the Kitale area of Kenya. Her family's main revenue source is milk from their dairy farm. However, she also participates in some side businesses to complement her meager income.

One objective that Juhudi Kilimo aims to fulfill is increasing the ease of accessing farm inputs and income-generating assets for farmers. Through the intervention of Juhudi Kilimo and Kiva, fertilizers, pesticides, and other important farm inputs have become more accessible to its members than buying a bottle of water.

She is humbly seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as fertilizer and high-quality seeds. Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs.

Sarah’s competitive advantage in the market will be evident after she receives this loan. Through this intervention, she will be able to afford food for her loving family.

She thanks Kiva lenders for their kindness.
