Reginah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase enough weaves, hair lotions, hair treatments and hair dryers.

Reginah's story

Reginah is 27 years old and lives in the town of Kasangati in the Kasangati region of Uganda. She is married and has two children with one of them currently in school. For the past five years, Reginah has been working hard to manage her beauty salon, in which she does hairdressing.

To help expand her business, Reginah has requested a loan of 2,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase enough weaves, hair lotions, hair treatments and hair dryers to attract more customers. This will help Reginah to generate greater profits and she will manage to pay school fees for her children and pay back her loan on time. Reginah hopes that in the future she will be able to build rental houses and become a landlady.

Reginah is a member of BRAC's Microfinance program (MF). The program primarily serves small group members like Reginah who do not have collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
