Iragi Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase flour, beans, potatoes, oil, and tomatoes.

Iragi Group's story

Madame Aisha is a client of microfinance institution Hekima and leads the Iragi Group. She is a 49-year-old widow with 5 children, 4 of whom are in school. Only the group leader is shown due to social distancing measures.

Aisha sells food in a restaurant, a business she started 15 years ago with startup funds from her husband. Later, she partnered with Hekima to support her business, and it has grown progressively since. With this new loan, she will purchase flour, beans, potatoes, oil, and tomatoes, which will increase her working capital. Her business's main challenge is lack of customers.

She would like for her children to continue their studies and to feed her family. Lastly, Aisha would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they give to owners of non-bankable businesses in the context of the Covid-19 crisis.
