A loan helped to buy milk.

Tujyinama Cb Group's story

Jeanne D Arc is 36 and the mother of five children aged between 8 months and 10 years. Her husband is a construction worker, and for the past four years, she has been selling milk.

She is the leader of the Tujinama Cb which means “Let’s advise each other” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Jeanne D arc will use her portion of the loan to buy milk to sell within her community. With the profit from her sales, she will be able to buy a piece of land.

She is grateful for the support from the lenders.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group.
