Teresita's story

She resides in Mcarthur town and is named Teresita, a married woman with six children. Four of them are still attending school. Her husband works as a farmer.

Teresita operates a sari-sari (variety) store. She sells commodities like noodles, milk, sugar, seasonings, soap, shampoo and assorted canned goods. Moreover, she also sells vegetable and spices as supplemental income.

Her sari-sari (variety} store is situated near her home and serves customers who are mostly neighbors and nearby residents. To continue to boost her earnings and improve the quality of life, she has decided to avail herself of a loan used to buy assorted stocks for the store like canned goods, beverages and toiletries.

She is grateful to CEVI and Kiva for the continued support. Teresita is more determined to work hard for the welfare of her family
